High quality build solutions
This is one of our current projects which is for the erection of a two storey full width rear extension at lower ground floor and upper ground floor level to both properties of varying depths. There will be the creation of two rear roof terraces at upper ground floor level. We will be landscaping the rear garden including the creation of paved area at lower ground level and raised timber decking to part of the communal garden. We will create a bin storage area in the front gardens. We will be carrying out complete internal refurbishment of four flats.
The project started in February 2020 and these photos were taken then showing new lit walkway for residents to access their flats during building works and demolition to rear of the properties. We also cut off the electric and gas supplies to the four flats and we stripped all four flats i.e. walls, floor coverings, ceilings, kitchens, bathrooms.
We finished demolition works and we underpinned both front bays of the building. We had a scaffold erected to the rear of the property. Temporary foundations have been dug and concrete poured for temporary works. The rear façade of the building is supported at high level.
We have been impacted by the coronavirus which caused us some delays as to be expected! Despite this we completed all blockwork up to 2.4 metres high and we have both double A frame steels in place. We cleared the rear garden to allow for the sunken patio area.
The brickwork in the extension is now 80% complete and 90% of structural steel work has been completed. The floor joists for the extension have all gone in and 50% of the underpinning to the house has been completed.
